Join to apply for the Physical Therapy Assistant role at Maxima Therapy

Maxima Therapy is seeking full-time or part-time, creative, and committed Physical Therapist Assistants to join our transdisciplinary team, which includes speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, child development specialists, and assistants.

The position offers a flexible schedule, providing individual services to children aged from birth to 3 years with varying delays, at clients’ homes and/or daycares. We offer competitive pay up to $75 per hour*, along with drive time, mileage, and toy reimbursements. Our benefits package includes medical insurance, 401K, sick leave, paid vacation, and flexible scheduling. We also provide several Continuing Education (CEU) opportunities.

Schedule:

• Use of proprietary software and AI for matching therapists with clients
• Therapists can select their clients
• Flexible in scheduling: part-time or full-time
• Workload ranges from 5 to 40 hours per week
• Client selection at therapists' convenience

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 treatment in clients’ homes or daycare settings
• Offer parent education and support
• Collaborate with team members
• Take and submit progress notes as required

Minimum Requirements:

• California PTA license
• Reliable vehicle, proof of auto insurance, valid driver’s license
• Proof of immunizations, CPR certification, and a current, negative TB test
• Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, team-oriented attitude
• Previous pediatric treatment experience preferred
• Multilingual skills are a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform therapy activities on the floor or child-sized furniture
• Attention to safety for clients and surroundings
• May require quick movements, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Sustained physical activity for up to 60 minutes

The pay rate is up to $75/hr for direct therapy sessions, with additional compensation for drive time and mileage, based on experience, skills, languages, and location.
