Job summary

Seven Hills Foundation seeks a Physical Therapy Aide to support sensory integration and motor activities for program participants in Worcester. You will work with Exercise/Physical Therapists to improve fine and gross motor skills and promote personal growth.

Qualifications

• Assist therapists in implementing sensory integration and motor activities.
• Collaborate with therapists to design individualized and group activities.

Responsibilities

• Implement sensory integration, fine motor, gross motor, and activities of daily living as directed by Therapists and Program Managers.
• Collaborate with the therapeutic team to design and execute individualized and group-based activities tailored to participant needs.
• Assist in the development and follow-up of Day Habilitation Support Plans (DHSP), including attending case conferences.
• Provide assistance with personal care activities including dining, toileting, and transfers as needed.
• Support the implementation of behavior management strategies in coordination with the clinical team.
• Serve as a role model and provide staff training in therapeutic approaches.
• Foster a respectful, dignified, and culturally appropriate environment for individuals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team, collaborating with parents, guardians, and other professionals.
• Maintain an inventory of therapeutic materials and recommend appropriate purchases.
