Job summary

Nazareth Hospital, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Physical Therapy Aide to join the Inpatient Therapy team in the Rehab Therapy Department. The role supports licensed therapists, assists with patient care activities, and helps maintain a safe, efficient unit.

This per diem day shift position requires flexibility for weekdays, weekends, and holidays; HS diploma and BCLS certification are required; prior hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital/therapy experience preferred.
• Two weekend shifts per month and two holidays per year.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient-related activities under supervision of licensed therapists or therapy assistants.
• Prepare and clean up patient care areas; maintain a safe work environment.
• Clerical duties and billing as assigned; stock therapy items.
• Transport of patients and other duties as assigned by Therapy Lead or Senior Therapist.

Shift:Days - 7.5 hr shifts Both weekend and weekday coverage needed Minimum of two weekend shifts per month (7.5 hr shift) and two holidays per year. Both weekday and weekend availability preferred.
Location: Philadelphia, PA

The therapy aide assists with patient related activities which are predetermined and assigned for each patient by the licensed therapist or licensed therapy assistant. The aide main duties included but are not limited to: preparation and clean up of patient care areas, maintaining a safe work environment, clerical duties as assigned, billing as assigned, stock of therapy items, transportation of patients and all duties assigned to them by Team Lead, Senior Therapist, Staff Therapist or Therapy Assistant in accordance with PA Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy State Practice acts.

PRN Aide may be asked to provide coverage for all inpatient areas (TCU, ARU, Acute care) depending on where needs are the day of their shift.

Education and Training:

HS graduate or equivalent preferred.

BCLS certification required

Requirements:

Ability to carry out specific instructions, perform diverse duties.

Previous hospital/therapy experience preferred.

Availability to provide coverage during weekdays as needed and weekends as per weekend coverage policy.
