Job summary

Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Physical Therapy Aide to support therapists, assist patients, and help maintain efficient clinic operations.

You will assist with transitioning patients to therapy areas, prepare equipment, manage patient records and scheduling, handle front office tasks during downtime, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment that emphasizes patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare is a plus.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting or as a Physical Therapy Aide preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach towards assisting individuals in need.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in transitioning to therapy areas, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Help create a positive work environment and clinic culture by ensuring patient needs are met during transitional periods of therapy.
• Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas based on therapist instructions.
• Maintain organized patient records, schedule appointments, and handle billing procedures.
• Assist front office with front office tasks when downtime occurs including answering the phone, scanning documents, scheduling patients, taking over-the-counter payments, filing, faxing, etc.
• Aid therapists during therapy sessions by providing necessary materials and facilitating exercises.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment; daily equipment cleaning, cleaning tables, laundry, stocking supplies.
