Job summary

ACCESS PT, a member of the Confluent Health family, is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to join our New Fairfield, CT team.

In this role you will prep and sanitize treatment areas, assist with equipment and support patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The position offers a starting pay of $13.50–$15.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, and a commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sanitize treatment room for patients.
• Understand uses of stationary bikes, pulley systems, exercise/medicine balls, plyometric boxes, rebounder, weight equipment, tables and benches.
• Prepare equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, paraffin bath, and hot packs.
• Remove and replace braces, splints, and slings from patient bodies before and after treatment.
• Assist physical therapy assistant and/or physical therapist to support patient during ambulation and gait training.
• Communicate effectively with patients/clients, the public and all members of the healthcare team.
