Job summary

North Lake Physical Therapy in Portland, OR is hiring a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to support licensed therapists and deliver high‑quality patient care in a busy clinic.

You will assist during treatment, safely transfer patients, prepare rooms and equipment, schedule appointments, manage electronic health records, and help educate patients on exercises. A strong teamwork mindset, HIPAA awareness, and CPR/First Aid certification are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Proficiency in patient transfer safety protocols.
• Experience with electronic health records systems preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions and exercises.
• Safely transport and transfer patients to treatment areas.
• Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records.
• Monitor and maintain therapy supply inventory.
• Perform administrative tasks including answering phones and managing documentation.
• Support therapists in patient education and exercise demonstration.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care delivery.
