North Lake Physical Therapy, serving the Portland Metro area for over 38 years, seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide in Portland to support licensed therapists and ensure exceptional patient care. You will assist with treatment sessions, transport patients, prepare treatment areas, and manage documentation and schedules.

Role emphasizes safety, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork within a caring clinical environment. A high school diploma, CPR/First Aid certs, and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiology.
• Experience with electronic health records systems preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Physical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises
• Safely transport and transfer patients to and from treatment areas
• Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment areas and equipment
• Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records
• Monitor and maintain therapy supply inventory
• Perform administrative tasks including answering phones and managing documentation
• Support therapists in patient education and exercise demonstration
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care delivery
