Job summary

North Lake Physical Therapy in Portland is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to support licensed physical therapists and ensure exceptional patient care in a fast-paced setting.

You will assist therapists during treatments, transport patients, prepare treatment areas, manage appointments and electronic records, and help maintain supplies while upholding HIPAA and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Proficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiology.
• Experience with electronic health records systems preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Physical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises.
• Safely transport and transfer patients to and from treatment areas.
• Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records.
• Monitor and maintain therapy supply inventory.
• Perform administrative tasks including answering phones and managing documentation.
• Support therapists in patient education and exercise demonstration.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care delivery.
