Job summary

All-Star Orthopaedics in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to support the PT with non-clinical tasks and patient care. Responsibilities include preparing the treatment room, assisting patients onto equipment, and helping with progress recording under therapist direction.

The role involves front desk duties, chart preparation, and maintaining a clean, confidential environment in a fast-paced clinic with additional site coverage in Grapevine and Keller.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Gap year before PT school? - 1 Year Commitment.
• Willingness to work Grapevine and Keller locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment room for patient prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Prepare patients for PT treatment by welcoming patient and helping onto warm up equipment and treatment table.
• Assist in the application of heat packs, cold packs, and basic exercises.
• Help progress therapeutic exercises with therapist’s discretion.
• Pull patient charts for the following treatment day.
• Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Sterilize equipment and maintain a clean environment.
• Assist in checking patients in/out and scheduling.
• Assist in front desk opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in pulling charts for the PT for the next day.
• Take on new tasks as deemed appropriate by therapists.
• Assist in maintenance and ordering of supplies.
• Clean hydrocollator monthly and clean hot pack covers weekly.
