Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center in Sonora, CA is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to support therapy care delivery by preparing treatment areas, equipment and patients, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The position is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, non-exempt.

You will assist with modalities such as heat packs, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, whirlpool, and guide patients through exercises, while maintaining confidentiality and safety.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a physical therapy clinic preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook Express preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for physical therapy following procedures.
• Assist with modalities such as heat packs, paraffin dips, electrical stimulation, ultrasound and whirlpool.
• Guide patients onto exercise equipment and assist with prescribed exercises.
• Provide patient information, answer questions and address concerns to ensure comfort.
• Educate patients on equipment use and exercise routines, maintain confidentiality and safety.
• Maintain inventory of linen, supplies and equipment; perform other tasks as assigned.
• Collaborate professionally with patients, staff and other professionals.
