Job summary

Rallyday Partners in Milton, MA is seeking an Exercise Specialist/Physical Therapy Aide to assist under supervision of a Physical Therapist and/or Assistant. The role includes exercise instruction, patient safety monitoring, and support for administrative tasks within a clinical setting.

This non-licensed caregiver position offers hands-on patient care experience, room and equipment upkeep, and opportunities for professional development in rehabilitation services. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field preferred.
  • Standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Assisting with patient exercise instruction and demonstration.
  • Monitoring patient movement to ensure safety and fall prevention.
  • Light lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional bending/reaching.

Job description

Exercise Specialist / Physical Therapy Aide

The Exercise Specialist/Physical Therapy Aide is a non-licensed caregiver who works under the direction of a Physical Therapist and/or Assistant to aid in the provision of patient care.

What You'll Do:
  • Ensure the condition and cleanliness of treatment rooms and gym area meets standards.
  • Assist clinical staff with patient intervention following plan of care as directed by the PT or PTA. Level of assistance will depend on payer and state guidelines. Treatment may include: exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, aquatic therapy, modalities, and education on posture, ergonomics, ADL’s and body mechanics.
  • Assist administrative staff as directed by clinic director; tasks to include scheduling/rescheduling patients, answering phones, assisting patients with intake, running weekly reports from clinical software and calling patients to maintain communication at the therapist’s direction.
  • Maintain clean environment for the safety of patients and efficiency of clinicians; housekeeping tasks include but not limited to consistently cleaning tables and private treatment areas, maintaining supply of towels and pillowcases in appropriate area, clean exercise equipment, washing/folding laundry where applicable, communicating with clinic director when supplies are low.
Qualifications / Physical Expectations:
  • High School Diploma (required).
  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field strongly preferred.
  • Standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Assisting with patient exercise instruction and demonstration.
  • Monitoring patient movement to ensure safety, including fall prevention.
  • Light lifting or movement of equipment and supplies up to 50lbs.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, or crouching as needed to support patient care or maintain a safe and clean clinical environment.
Compensation Package:

Starting at $18/hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience, skills, and role alignment.
