Job summary

ATI Physical Therapy is seeking a driven Physical Therapy Aide to support clinicians in delivering patient care. You will be involved in patient intake, treatment-area preparation, and assisting with exercises in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

This role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to physical therapy practices, with opportunities to develop healthcare skills in a supportive, patient-centered setting. The position is full-time at our Hickory Hills location.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 18+ years required.
• Healthcare or customer service background preferred.
• Ability to assist clinicians and support therapy activities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients both by phone and in person during check-in and appointments.
• Assist scheduling and patient intake to support clinicians.
• Onboard new patients, verify benefits, and complete medical forms.
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and set up exercise equipment.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team.
• Assist patients with home exercise programs and exercises as prescribed.

• Support Physical Therapist by preparing and cleaning treatment areas, as well as setting up and adjusting exercise equipment.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback the therapy team.
• Assist patients in performing exercises and support their prescribed home exercise programs.

Qualifications

Required

• High School diploma
• Must be 18+ years
• Healthcare and/or customer service experience

Preferred

• Healthcare experience (Physical Therapist Aide/Technician, Medical Assistant, hospital employment, chiropractic, fitness industry, PT & PTA students)
• Certified Personal Trainer experience.
• Experience or education in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.
