Job summary

Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) and its Family of Brands are seeking to recruit and hire a Physical Therapy Aide for the El Cajon clinic. The role supports therapists, assists patients, and helps with front-office tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and strong communication skills. The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with clinic hours Monday–Friday, roughly 6am–6pm, at 1625 E. Main St., El Cajon, CA 92021.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Healthcare training a plus).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in transitioning to therapy areas, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Help create a positive work environment and clinic culture by addressing patient needs during transitions.
• Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas according to therapist instructions.
• Maintain organized patient records, schedule appointments, and handle billing procedures.
• Assist front office with tasks during downtime: phone calls, document scanning, scheduling, payments, filing, etc.
• Aid therapists during therapy sessions by providing materials and facilitating exercises.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment; daily cleaning and stocking.

About The Role

As a Physical Therapy Aide at PRN, you'll be an essential part of our team, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure a smooth and positive experience for our patients.

Brand: Spine & Sport Physical Therapy

Pay: $18-20/hr (based on experience & skill set)

Schedule: Full‑time 40hrs/per week - clinic is open M‑F 6am‑6pm

Location: 1625 E. Main St. El Cajon, CA 92021

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist patients in transitioning to therapy areas, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Help create a positive work environment and clinic culture by ensuring patient needs are taken care of during transitional periods of therapy. Help provide customer service, a smile.
• Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas based on therapist instructions.
• Maintain organized patient records, schedule appointments, and handle billing procedures.
• Assist front office with front office tasks when down time occurs including but not limited to: answering the phone, scanning documents into charts, scheduling patients, taking over the counter payments, filing, faxing, etc.
• Aid therapists during therapy sessions by providing necessary materials and facilitating exercises.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment. Daily equipment cleaning, cleaning tables, laundry, stocking supplies.

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare is a plus.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting or as a Physical Therapy Aide preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach towards assisting individuals in need.
