Physical Therapy Adjunct Assistant Professor Pool

Position Summary

The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment, with applicants contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.

Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After this period, applicants will receive instructions on how to stay in the pool.

The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under supervision, helping students achieve their potential, assessing learning outcomes, maintaining current knowledge, engaging in professional development, utilizing technology, upholding professional standards, contributing to curriculum development, serving on committees, and other duties as assigned.

Position Salary

The initial maximum salary placement is based on academic degree, units earned, and professional experience (Class V, Step 1). For more details, please visit our website.

Typical Duties

Teaching courses across all levels within the discipline, including:

• PTA 100 Introduction to Physical Therapist Assistant
• PTA 110 Kinesiology for PTA Students

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher plus two years of professional experience, or an associate degree plus six years of experience; all from accredited institutions.
• Valid license to practice physical therapy in California (Physical Therapist or PTA license).
• Demonstrated equity-minded focus and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
• Note: If your degree differs from the listed minimums, apply under the “equivalent” provision with supporting documentation.
