Job summary

Retreat Doctors' Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Physical Therapist with wound care experience to join our outpatient team on a PRN basis. You will assess patients, create personalized plans, and work with physicians to restore mobility and reduce pain.

You'll provide education to patients and families, monitor progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal outcomes in a supportive hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT)
• Bachelor's Degree
• Wound Care experience preferred in outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians and care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress and document outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families on exercise programs and safe practices.
• Collaborate across disciplines for cohesive, patient-centered care.
• Mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA values.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Physical Therapist, you play a vital role in helping patients regain strength, restore mobility, and rebuild confidence following illness, injury, or surgery. Working closely with physicians and the care team, you’ll assess each patient’s needs and create personalized therapy plans designed around meaningful goals, active engagement, and exceptional patient outcomes. Your role will include:

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Experience in Wound Care preferred, working in Outpatient Clinic
