Job summary

Mercy Health Center in Ardmore, OK seeks a Rehab Physical Therapist (PRN) to perform objective assessments and craft individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. Under supervision, you will supervise rehabilitation staff and contribute to evidence-based care within Mercy standards.

Licensure in the applicable state is required, with BLS current. Six months to one year of experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy license in the practicing state.
• Doctorate, MS, or equivalent in Physical Therapy as applicable.
• BLS certification must be current.
• PRN availability and ability to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment programs for adults and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to rehab technicians and supervision of PT assistants.
• Collaborate with Rehab Therapy team to deliver care per Mercy standards and policies.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with state practice acts.

Under the general supervision of the Rehab Therapy supervisor at the Rehab Center at Mercy Health Center, and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Act. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details

Education: Current license of Physical Therapy in the applicable state of practice or registry eligible. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure

Current license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Experience

Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
