BJC Home Care’s Sullivan Intermittent Home Care Department is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide skilled services in the patient’s home. You will assess, plan, implement, and supervise PT treatment under physician orders, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

You’ll educate patients and families, re-evaluate progress, and adjust plans to maximize functional recovery, including prosthetic/orthotic considerations when needed. A valid PT license and driver’s license are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Physical Therapy (PT) certification/license required.
• No Experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Instructs and assists patient to perform various physical activities and in use of assistive and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
• Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures.
• Re-evaluates patient and adapts treatment program accordingly to achieve maximum benefit.
• Confers with physician and other practitioners to obtain additional information, suggest revisions in treatment plan and to integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patients’ care.
• Evaluates, fits and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modifications to Orthotist.

Full time – 40 hours

Typical Business Hours – Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm

Holiday & Weekend Rotation for emergency purposes

No on call

Community travel within Sullivan, MO BJC Service Areas

IRS Standard Rate for Mileage Reimbursement

BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs.

The Sullivan Intermittent Home Care Department of BJC Home Care Services provides home visits to patients in Sullivan, Missouri and several nearby counties, with 24 hour on-call home care nursing supervision. Our JCAHO accredited, multi-disciplinary approach combines leading edge technology with a firm belief in the powerful recuperative advantages of receiving home care.

Role Purpose
