AdventHealth in Davenport, Florida is seeking a Physical Therapist for a StaffFlex contract with a day shift. The role focuses on evaluations, treatment planning, documentation, and patient education in an acute care setting. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred and licensure/CPR-BLS is required.

Candidates should be prepared for flexible work hours, ongoing education, and adherence to quality standards while contributing to a team committed to compassionate, integrated care.

Qualifications

• Entry level professional competency of Physical Therapy practices, theory and applications.
• Basic computer skills: Outlook, Microsoft Office, Windows.
• Licenses: PT licensed or PT-TEMP; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations to assess patient conditions and progress.
• Establishes individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals.
• Discharges patients with documentation and follow-up recommendations.
• Documents patient care activities accurately in the medical record.
• Charges for services according to billing procedures.
• Educates patients and caregivers about treatment plans and home care instructions.
• Supports quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintains clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Meets productivity standards and adapts to census changes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations to assess patient conditions and progress.

• Educates patients and caregivers about treatment plans, exercises, and home care instructions.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities.
• Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
• Maintains clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Meets productivity standards defined by the department.
• Adapts to changes in patient census by adjusting work hours and assisting in other centers or programs as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
