Job summary

Elite Medical Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Pensacola, FL. The role offers $60/hour on a contract basis with a standard 8:00–17:00, Monday through Friday schedule and a dedicated assignment with our healthcare partner.

The candidate will assess residents, design and implement mobility-focused treatment plans, and document progress while working with a supportive team in a fast-paced SNF setting.

Qualifications

• Active PT license in good standing or compact license
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience in a skilled nursing facility
• Reliability with consistent attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities

• Utilize EMR to record patient data and vital signs
• Evaluate residents’ function, strength, balance and rehab needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training
• Educate residents and families on exercises and fall prevention
• Document evaluations, treatments and outcomes accurately
• Maintain facility compliance and professional standards

Responsibilities

An PT working contract through Elite Medical Staffing at a skilled nursing facility may be expected to:

• Utilize EMRto record patients’ medical information and vital signs
• Evaluate residents' physical function, strength, balance, mobility, and rehabilitation needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and functional independence
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and other skilled physical therapy interventions
• Recommend and train residents in the use of mobility aids, assistive devices, and other equipment as appropriate
• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and goals
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and fall prevention strategies
• Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and resident outcomes
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards
• Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active PT license
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing
• Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
• Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
• Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
• Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

Credentials Required

• Active and unencumbered FLPT License or Compact PT License
• Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
• Flu Vaccine/COVID

• CPR/BLS
• Resume
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
