This Physical Therapist role is based in Pensacola, FL at a 515‑bed regional medical center that holds accreditation as a Chest Pain Center, a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, and the state's first Atrial Fibrillation with Electrophysiology Services Accreditation. The facility operates an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a CARF‑accredited comprehensive physical rehabilitation hospital, a dedicated pediatric emergency department, and a behavioral health unit, alongside services spanning cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, oncology, orthopedics, neurology/neurosurgery, and robotic‑assisted surgery.
The Physical Therapist manages the full continuum of therapeutic care for an assigned patient caseload, working in coordination with physicians and the broader patient care team. Day‑to‑day work centers on completing thorough patient assessments and contributing to individualized care plans that prioritize measurable goal achievement and active patient engagement. The therapist delivers or directly supervises the majority of each patient's physical therapy, applying procedures and techniques designed to produce meaningful changes in condition and function consistent with the physician's plan of care. Patient and caregiver education is a consistent expectation — teaching the use of exercises, therapeutic appliances, and assistive or prosthetic devices for use outside of sessions. The PT also carries caseload prioritization responsibilities, including assessing daily staffing needs and coordinating assignments and handoffs across the team.
Day shift with rotating weekends; additional shift details will be discussed during the interview process.
