Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Physical Therapist in Washington, MO. This full-time role provides objective assessments and develops individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients under Therapy Leadership. It includes supervision of rehab staff and adherence to Mercy Service Standards.

Qualified candidates hold a DDS/DPT or higher, state licensure, and BLS certification. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking; grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants per State Practice Acts.
• Collaborate with Therapy Leadership and Mercy team to ensure care aligns with mission and Mercy Service Standards.
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care and contribute to a collaborative care environment.
• Maintain documentation and comply with department policies and procedures.
