Job summary

Talent Search PRO is seeking a NJ-licensed Physical Therapist for a maternity leave contract in Livingston, NJ. You will work with high school students with physical disabilities in a school-based setting, helping them access education and build functional independence.

The role runs from September 8, 2026 through February 2027, with a 30-hour work week Monday through Friday. A strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to IDEA guidelines are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Active New Jersey Physical Therapist license
• Experience working with students with physical disabilities
• Knowledge of IDEA and IEP development
• School based pediatric experience preferred
• Ability to assist students with transfers, positioning, lifting and mobility

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations covering gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, coordination and functional performance
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals
• Provide direct and consultative PT services in individual and small group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists and other multidisciplinary team members
• Recommend and monitor adaptive equipment, mobility devices and seating systems
• Educate school staff and families on therapeutic strategies and positioning techniques
• Maintain documentation in compliance with IDEA, state regulations and district policies

This role is for the Physical Therapist who understands that and brings their full skill set to a school setting every day.

A school in Livingston, New Jersey is looking for a Physical Therapist for a maternity leave contract running from September 8, 2026 through February 2027. You will work with high school students with physical disabilities in a school based setting, helping them access their education and build functional independence.

What you will be doing:
