Job summary

Palm Springs Healthcare Center is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat residents and patients with physical disabilities, aiming to relieve pain, restore function, and promote healing through exercise, heat, ultrasound, massage and other modalities.

Requirements include a Bachelor or Master of Science in Physical Therapy and a current applicable license. One year of clinical experience is preferred, with potential onsite supervision of assistants as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the State, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers in the care and use of mobility devices.
• Maintains patient records.
• Devises special tools and treatment for individual needs.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge.
• Completes required forms and documents per policy and regulations.
