Qualifications

• Graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by the AMA/APTA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents and develops treatment goals and plans; documents services.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices and trains residents in their use.
• Selects and applies physical agent modalities as appropriate.
• Collaborates with rehab team to choose optimal regimens.
• Instructs residents in mobility skills and monitors progress.
• Adapts program to individual needs and maintains safety.
• Promotes a safe environment and participates in facility safety.
• Attends resident care and staff meetings as required.
• Supervises supportive personnel per standards.
• Conducts training for staff in PT techniques and objectives.
• Orders supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Maintains and reports on equipment, ensuring functionality.
• Ensures high-quality service to residents and families.
