Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a weekend Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at Northern Riverview in Haverstraw, NY. You will evaluate residents, design rehab plans, and help patients regain function in a state-of-the-art rehab gym.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current New York State PT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' conditions and develop rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve pain via exercises, hands-on therapy, and stretching.
• Assist residents with tasks and monitor performance.
• Supervise activities of PT assistants.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with laws and regulations.
• Contribute to team effort and maintain cooperative relationships.

Duties of an exceptional therapist include:

• Evaluate residents conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort

PT Requirements Include:
