Job summary

Salem Health & Rehabilitation Center in Salem, VA is seeking a caring Physical Therapist licensed in Virginia or a graduate actively pursuing licensure. Join our team of rehabilitation professionals delivering PT, OT, and speech therapy in a state-of-the-art rehab gym.

You will evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, obtain physician approval, participate in discharge planning, document evaluations and charges, and supervise assistants as needed.

Qualifications

• Virginia Physical Therapy License or active licensure in progress.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops effective treatment plans, and obtains approval for service from the referring physician.
• Treats residents according to the physician’s treatment plan and participates in discharge planning.
• Records evaluation, treatment, and charges; supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides; screens residents for potential benefit from PT intervention.
