Job summary

Solaris HealthCare College Park in Orlando, FL seeks a PRN Physical Therapist (PT) to join our rehab department. This flexible PRN role offers opportunities to work with a dynamic team and provide high-quality therapy services to residents.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Florida PT with several years of experience, strong clinical skills, and a collaborative approach to patient care. The position requires adherence to AHCA background screening and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program and successful completion of the national licensure exam.
• Prior PT experience preferred.
• Membership in state and national PT associations preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare/third-party reimbursement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide PRN physical therapy services in the rehab department.
• Collaborate with medical staff to implement prescribed treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and progress notes.
• Comply with Florida AHCA background screening requirements.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications:

• Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy education program approved by the appropriate accrediting agency recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation or the U.S. Department of Education at the time of graduation, and successful completion of the applicable national examination required for licensure.
• Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Prior experience in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Membership in state and national American Physical Therapy Association organizations preferred.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Proficient administrative and public relations skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in physical therapy.
• Thorough knowledge of potential hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and obtain their cooperation with prescribed treatment plans.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with medical staff and other personnel.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and follow a physician's written or oral directions, recommend treatment programs, and outline expected benefits of physical therapy.
• Demonstrate emotional stability to cope with the demands of working with both patients and employees.
• Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement preferred.

This role requires Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening.
