Job summary

Solaris HealthCare East Orlando seeks a PRN Physical Therapist to join our rehab department. The candidate must be licensed (or eligible) in Florida and will provide PT services in a supportive team setting.

We require AHCA background screening; prior PT experience is preferred. Join a caring team focused on compassionate patient care and quality outcomes in Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy education program and licensure exam.
• Must be licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida.
• Prior PT experience preferred.
• APTA membership preferred.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Proficient administrative and public relations skills.
• Thorough knowledge of PT principles and equipment.
• Understand and follow physician directions; explain benefits.
• Maintain patient and staff confidentiality.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications:

• Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy education program approved by the appropriate accrediting agency recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation or the U.S. Department of Education at the time of graduation, and successful completion of the applicable national examination required for licensure.
• Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Prior experience in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Membership in state and national American Physical Therapy Association organizations preferred.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Proficient administrative and public relations skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in physical therapy.
• Thorough knowledge of potential hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and obtain their cooperation with prescribed treatment plans.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with medical staff and other personnel.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and follow a physician’s written or oral directions, recommend treatment programs, and outline expected benefits of physical therapy.
• Demonstrate emotional stability to cope with the demands of working with both patients and employees.
• Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement preferred.
