Job summary

Solaris HealthCare Forest Lake in Apopka, FL is hiring a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehab team. If you are a licensed PTA or eligible for licensure in Florida, and you seek a flexible PRN opportunity, we want to meet you.

Qualifications

• Successful graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant education program recognized by the appropriate accrediting agency at the time of graduation.
• Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Florida.
• Prior experience in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Membership in state and national American Physical Therapy Association organizations preferred.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Proficient administrative and public relations skills.
• Thorough knowledge of PT principles, methods and equipment.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications:

• Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida.

• Proficient administrative and public relations skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in physical therapy.
• Thorough knowledge of potential hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and obtain their cooperation with prescribed treatment plans.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with medical staff and other personnel.
• Demonstrate emotional stability to cope with the demands of working with both patients and employees.
• Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement preferred.
