Responsibilities

What you will do: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
• Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated care and improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the practicing state
• Current Basic Life Support or CPR certification per state regulations
• Preferred: at least one year of work experience as a physical therapist
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injuries
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with safety procedures for lifting up to 100 pounds
• Physical ability to perform duties involving fine motor skills, visual acuity, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, and positioning
• A health screen or examination may be required before and periodically during employment to confirm physical capability
