Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City South, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, seeks a PRN Physical Therapist to join a dedicated rehab team. You will evaluate and treat patients, develop care plans, and provide education to patients and families to support home exercise programs.

The role requires a current PT license in Oklahoma and CPR certification, with collaboration across discharge planning and rehab services to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients to improve movement, reduce pain, and restore independence.
• Conducts physical therapy assessments and develops treatment plans.
• Provides direct patient care to restore strength, mobility, and function.
• Educates patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.
• Documents treatment sessions and patient outcomes accurately.
• Collaborates with rehab teams and participates in discharge planning.
• Demonstrates clinical knowledge and strong patient rapport.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Our rehabilitation programs at our Oklahoma City South Hospital provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

How You'll Contribute

• The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients with physical injuries or disabilities to improve movement, reduce pain, and restore functional independence.
• Conduct physical therapy assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care to restore strength, mobility, and function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.
• Document treatment sessions and patient outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with rehab teams and participate in discharge planning.
• Clinical knowledge and strong patient rapport-building required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Applicants must hold a current PT license and must be eligible to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Oklahoma.

Additional Requirements Include

CPR certification required.
