Job summary

NHC Place, Farragut is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team and provide flexible coverage throughout the Knoxville area.

This role involves skilled therapy in SNFs with weekend evaluations and telehealth potential, collaborating with nursing, physicians, and families to achieve positive patient outcomes while meeting Medicare and facility requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• SNF/geriatric experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and medically necessary skilled therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services to residents in the skilled nursing setting.
• Provide coverage when regular therapy partners are on vacation, out sick, or otherwise unavailable.
• Conduct weekend physical therapy evaluations as needed.
• Complete evaluations, treatment, progress notes, and other required documentation in accordance with Medicare and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, therapy staff, residents, and families to support positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of clinical care, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Telehealth services may also be requested as needed to support coverage and continuity of care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services to residents in the skilled nursing setting.
• Provide coverage when regular therapy partners are on vacation, out sick, or otherwise unavailable.
