Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs. May include staff and student orientation and acting as supervisor in their absence.
• Assess patient needs, initiate appropriate interventions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain standards of practice.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness, monitor progress towards goals, and recommend changes to physicians as needed.
• Perform assessments and reassessments, ensure accurate documentation, and manage adult and geriatric rehabilitation patients.
• Assess and manage patient pain, implementing interventions to reduce discomfort and consulting physicians when necessary.
• Develop and update individualized physical therapy plans of care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of employment.
• Inpatient rehab experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
