Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
Facility: Yamato Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Location: Boca Raton, Florida
Shift: PRN
Salary: $57 per hour

We are currently seeking a dedicated PRN Physical Therapist to help our residents achieve their highest level of physical function and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents and develop appropriate treatment goals and methods.

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans and complete all related documentation.

• Apply therapeutic techniques in gait, ambulation, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, posture control, sensory awareness, sitting/standing skills, balance, and orientation.

• Design and fit adaptive devices, including orthotics and prosthetics, and train residents in their use.

• Select and apply appropriate physical modalities based on each resident’s needs.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to ensure effective and personalized care plans.

• Instruct residents in mobility activities and monitor their progress.

• Adapt therapy programs to meet the evolving needs of each individual.

• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.

• Supervise PT assistants or aides in accordance with state regulations.

• Provide training and education to facility staff on physical therapy techniques and best practices.

• Monitor and request necessary supplies and maintenance for PT equipment.

• Promote a compassionate, respectful environment that upholds residents’ dignity and rights.

Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
