General Summary of Position

MedStar Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team at MHPT @ Catonsville. The ideal candidate will be a licensed physical therapist with demonstrated professional competency in general practice, utilizing varied evaluation and treatment approaches. Excellent customer service and effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients of diverse ages and backgrounds.

The Physical Therapist provides a range of services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. The role involves participating in program planning, protocol development, and helping the team meet established goals.

Primary Duties:

  1. Provides evaluation services, reviews pertinent history, conducts assessments, and documents results. Explains findings and collaborates with patients and families to set goals.
  2. Implements treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, consults with healthcare professionals as needed, and adjusts care plans according to patient condition changes.
  3. Completes discharge planning and follow-up, documents care activities accurately and timely, and maintains a clear record of the patient's course of care.
  4. Demonstrates effective time management, meets productivity goals, and provides flexible, empathetic patient access to care.
  5. Pursues continuing education for professional growth, serves as a clinical instructor, and mentors staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
  2. Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required for specific locations.
  3. American Heart Association BLS certification for Healthcare Providers and CPR certification.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
