General Summary of Position

MedStar Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at Brandywine MACC - Therapy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professional competency in physical therapy, utilize varied evaluation and treatment approaches, and possess strong customer service and communication skills for interacting with patients of diverse ages and backgrounds.

The Physical Therapist provides a range of services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. The role involves participating in program planning, protocol development, and supporting team goals.

Primary Duties:
  1. Provide evaluation services, review historical information, perform assessments, and communicate findings and treatment plans to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
  2. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, consult with healthcare professionals, and document changes in patient condition requiring modifications or further consultation.
  3. Complete discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  4. Manage time effectively to meet productivity expectations, demonstrate flexibility and empathy, and ensure patient access to care.
  5. Engage in continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and assist in orienting and mentoring staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  2. Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required for the location.
  3. American Heart Association BLS certification and CPR certification.
Additional Information:

This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
