The role involves instructing patients and caregivers, promoting independence, and maintaining a safe environment. The therapist supervises support personnel as needed, ensures timely documentation, and participates in team meetings. Key techniques include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, airway clearance, electrotherapeutic modalities, and functional training. The therapist also designs and trains patients in adaptive device use, conducts mobility assessments, and incorporates health and wellness programming.
