Job summary

Reading Hospital in Berks County is seeking Physical Therapists (PT) and Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) for Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN roles across multiple outpatient locations and at our Rehab Hospital in Wyomissing.

PTs evaluate and plan treatment, supervise staff, and collaborate closely with hospital leadership and a wide network of professionals to support comprehensive rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree is required or commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• PA Physical Therapy License required; temporary licensure will be considered.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and implements treatment programs for referred patients according to accepted physical therapy principles.
• Supervises assistants, aides, and students.
• Supports all programs in the Rehabilitation Continuum and maintains relationships with hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, case managers, social workers, and other staff.
• Supervised by and reports to Therapy Manager or Senior Therapist.

• Multiple openings are available across various outpatient locations throughout Berks County, as well as at our Rehab Hospital in Wyomissing.

The Physical Therapist

• Evaluates, plans and implements treatment programs for referred patients according to accepted principles and practices of physical therapy.


• Supervises assistants, aides, and students.


• Supports all programs in the Rehabilitation Continuum.


• Maintains working relationships with: Hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, case managers, social workers, allied health professionals, ancillary services, and hospital support personnel.


• Supervised by and reports to Therapy Manager or Senior Therapist.
