Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed physical therapist to join our home health team in New Bern, NC. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling with morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts, visiting patients in their homes to help maintain, restore, and improve movement and function.

You will perform reexaminations every 30 days, adjust interventions as needed, and participate in discharge planning while enjoying paid training, flexible benefits, and a supportive, community-based work environment

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PT program.
• 1 year related PT experience preferred for home health.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement and function.
• Conduct reexaminations every 30 days and modify interventions as needed.
• Perform discharge planning and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you’re assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
