Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist to support Randolph County, NC, with full-time days and primarily in-home care. You will help patients improve movement and function, conduct regular reexaminations, and plan discharges. Eligible for generous benefits and competitive pay.

Requirements include a state license in physical therapy, CAPTE-accredited program graduation, and CPR certification. Prior home health experience is preferred; mentoring may be provided for those with less than one year

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• CAPTE-accredited PT program completion.
• One year of PT experience in home health (preferred) or require mentoring if less than 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct 30-day reexaminations, modify interventions and perform discharge planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.



• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.



• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).


• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.


• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.


• Current CPR certification.
