Amedisys is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to support patients in their homes across Georgia. You will assess, treat, and design plans to help patients maintain and regain movement and function, delivering care in a home-health setting.

The role requires a current PT license in the assigned state, CAPTE-accredited education, and at least one year of home-health experience. CPR certification is also required, with mentoring available for those new to home health.

Qualifications

• Current physical therapy license in the state of assignment.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PT program.
• Minimum one year PT experience in home health; mentoring available if less than one year.

• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days, modify interventions, and discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
