Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist to join our home health team in Cleveland, GA. You will provide hands-on care, assess movement, and plan interventions for geriatric patients in their homes, with training and support after onboarding.

This role offers paid training, a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package, including options for PPO or HSA medical plans, PTO, wellness rewards, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited CAPTE PT program.
• At least 1 year of related PT experience for home health care, or approval/mentoring if less than 1 year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days, modify interventions as necessary, and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
