Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist for full-time days to work across Calhoun, GA and Chatsworth, GA offices, with travel to nearby locations. You’ll provide hands-on geriatric home health education and care, with paid hourly training and per-point pay after training, plus mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state you’re assigned.
• Graduated from an accredited physical therapy program (CAPTE).
• One year of related physical therapy experience for home health care roles; regional mentoring if less than one year may be required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function at home.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days at minimum, adjust interventions as needed, and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
