Job description

Physical Therapist (PT, DPT) – Women’s Health Specialist FT/PT

MOUNTAIN PHYSICAL THERAPY AND FITNESS CENTER LLC Kalispell, MT

We are looking to add a skilled Physical Therapist (DPT) with a passion for women’s health to our team. While this role will involve treating a diverse patient population, the primary focus will be on health conditions affecting women, including prenatal and postpartum care, pelvic pain, incontinence, and other related concerns.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist – Women’s Health Specialist will assess, evaluate, and treat patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal and pelvic health conditions. The ideal candidate will have specialized training and experience in women’s pelvic health therapy, including the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy-related musculoskeletal issues, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Clinical Care:
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations for patients with general orthopedic and pelvic health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
  • Provide hands-on therapy, including manual techniques, biofeedback, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education.
  • Educate patients on pelvic health, posture, core strengthening, and functional movement patterns to promote long-term wellness.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with OB/GYNs, urologists, midwives, and other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and empower them with self-management strategies.
  • Provide prenatal and postpartum education, including strategies for labor preparation and postpartum recovery.
  • Promote awareness of pelvic health issues through community outreach, workshops, and educational events.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic and insurance guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and continuing education opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other clinic staff to ensure smooth operations and a pleasant patient experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Active Montana state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Physical Therapist.
  • Specialized in pelvic floor therapy.
  • Experience treating pelvic floor conditions.
  • Strong manual therapy skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Passion for women’s health advocacy and patient-centered care.
