The Physical Therapist is primarily responsible for the delivery of physical therapy care to the patient population to which she/he is assigned and the recording of that care in the hospital medical record.
The therapist acts as a consultant to various patient clinics, provides instruction to PT support staff, students, personnel of other disciplines within VCUHS, and patient and/or family members. Therapists may rotate through our various clinical service areas.
Employee may have supervisory responsibilities of Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehab Technicians, students, and volunteers. Employee is a member of a self-directed team and applies his knowledge and experience in daily clinic problem solving. The team will bring unresolved issues to departmental manager for assistance and guidance in their resolution.
Schedules and work hours will be established with your specific Manager. Schedules, including weekends and holidays, will be required based on the unit’s organizational and staffing needs.
