The Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering physical therapy care to assigned patients and documenting care in the hospital medical record. The therapist also acts as a consultant to patient clinics, provides instruction to PT support staff, students, personnel from other disciplines within VCUHS, and patient/family members. Therapists may rotate through various clinical service areas.
May supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehab Technicians, students, and volunteers. Works as part of a self-directed team, applying knowledge to solve daily clinical problems. Unresolved issues are escalated to the department manager.
Work hours will be set with your manager, including weekends and holidays, based on staffing needs. Schedules are subject to change.
