Job summary

Tanner Health is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for Acute Care within Rehab Services on the Day shift. The role involves evaluating and treating movement impairment due to injury or disease and providing educational and advisory services to reduce disability and pain.

The position serves adult and geriatric populations and requires GA licensure, BLS within 30 days, and may offer a $20,000 sign-on bonus for external hires. Shifts are days, 8:00–4:30, with weekdays and some weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Licensure by the Georgia State Board of Examiners of Physical Therapy.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Physical Therapy treatment procedures.
• BLS within 30 Days.
• One year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff physical therapist performs evaluation and treatment of impairment in muscle movement and/or function resulting from injury or disease.
• Provide consultation and other educational and advisory services to prevent or reduce disability, bodily malfunction, and pain.
• Serve adults (18+) and geriatrics (75+) as part of rehab services.

Staff physical therapist performs evaluation and treatment of impairment in muscle movement and/or function resulting from injury or disease. Physical therapists provide consultation and other educational and advisory services to prevent or reduce the incidence and severity of physical disability, bodily malfunction, and pain. The person in this position provides services to the following populations: Adults (Eighteen years to seventy-five years of age) and Geriatrics (Seventy-five years of age and older).
