Tanner-Health-1 is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Georgia to support a licensed Physical Therapist in delivering patient care for adults and geriatrics. The role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and state licensure, with CPR/Healthcare Provider certification.

Eligible candidates will have an Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework, no prior work experience required, and must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is defined as a person licensed by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy to assist a physical therapist in the delivery of treatment to patients with impairment in muscle movement and/or function resulting from injury or disease. The person in this position provides services to the following populations: Adults (Eighteen to seventy-five-year-olds) and Geriatrics (Seventy-five years and older)

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of physical therapy treatment procedures.
• Graduate of an educational program that prepares certified Physical Therapist assistants and which is accredited by a recognized accrediting agency and approved by the State Board of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure by the Georgia State Board of Examiners of Physical Therapy.
• BLS is required within 30 days of hire.
