Job summary

Memorial Medical Center in New Mexico is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our patient-centered team. The role supports 32, 36 or 40 hours per week with full-time benefits, usually Monday through Friday and one weekend day per month.

You will perform assessments, plan care with patients, deliver therapy, adjust prosthetics as needed and document goals and progress. Licensure, BLS and appropriate credentials are required, and Memorial is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

• Active NM Physical Therapist license required.
• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.
• Certification: BLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which involves the patient.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment.
• Performs therapy interventions using standard PT techniques and equipment.
• Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modifications.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and reevaluation plans.

Schedule: this role could work 32, 36 or 40 hours/week and is eligible for full-time benefits. Our PTs typically work M-F, although one weekend day is typically required per month.

How you'll contribute

A Physical Therapist (PT) who excels in this role:

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
• Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
• Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current New Mexico Physical Therapist license and possess a Bachelors degree. Additional requirements include:
