Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time daytime role at Mosaic Life Care St Joseph Medical Center. This 40-hour week runs Monday through Friday and includes a $20,000 signing bonus.

New graduates are encouraged to apply as you join a team focused on exceptional patient care within a hospital rehabilitation program. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, document care, and educate families and staff while maintaining safety and equipment

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a patient's condition, develop a treatment plan, and help them improve; educate nursing staff and families on follow-through programs.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; assist with scheduling and post charges.
• Document patient care per regulatory and accrediting requirements.
• Instruct family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area safe and clean.
• Adhere to corporate compliance guidelines and applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow! We are looking for a dynamic Physical Therapist who is passionate about helping others and is a team player!How you'll contributeA Physical Therapist (PT), who excels in this role:

• Put your physical therapy skills to work where they're really needed -evaluate a patient's condition, develop a treatment plan, and help them get better, day by day. You'll also instruct the nursing staff and the patient's families on follow-through programs that build on the progress they've made
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned
